The third annual Lehua Hawaii Productions pageant will be held at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium in Hilo on Saturday, June 14. This achievement pageant focuses on personal development and community service.
The third annual Lehua Hawaii Productions pageant will be held at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium in Hilo on Saturday, June 14. This achievement pageant focuses on personal development and community service.
Six girls will be competing for the title of Young Miss Lehua Hawaii and six teens will be competing for the title of Miss Teen Lehua Hawaii.
During training, contestants go through mini workshops focusing on health and nutrition, fitness, table manners, social media etiquette, healthy relationships, and nail care. A teen contestant is paired up with a young miss contestant in a mentorship program called Little Sister/Big Sister. The contestants also participate in two community service projects.
The winners of the competitions will go on to compete in the Miss Hawaii High School and Miss Hawaii Junior High School pageants in Honolulu in January 2015. The winners of the state pageant will represent the state in the national pageant in Orlando in July 2015.
